NON-DISCRIMINATORY POLICY
Freedom Christian Schools admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally made available to students at the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, or ethnic origin in administration of our education, admissions, and other school-administered programs.
Students are accepted into Freedom Christian Schools on a probationary provision of two (2) marking periods.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
It is the policy of Freedom Christian Schools to admit children to school after the following steps have been completed:
1. An application with the appropriate enrollment fee has been received in the school office.
2. An acceptance letter will be sent within one week of receipt of application, stating that your children have a reserved space, or if necessary placed on a waiting list.
3. An entrance interview has been conducted between parents, student(s), and the FCS administration.
4. Parents have affirmed that they have read the Mission Statement and Statement of Faith, within this information packet, and agree to have
their children educated according to the spirit of these doctrines.
5. Parents have read and agree with the terms stated in the Statement of Cooperation, presented at the time of the interview. Parent signature
will be required and placed on file in the school office.
6. The prospective student(s) have taken the diagnostic/aptitude tests given at FCS. Students entering grades 1-12 may not be tested if
achievement test scores obtained within the last two years can be provided.
STUDENT TESTING – this ensures proper placement of each child so that the FCS administration can be confident that we are meeting the needs of each child before recommending acceptance:
- 3 & 4 year Pre-School – no testing
- Kindergarten – KRT (Kindergarten Readiness Test)
- Grades 1 -12 – PIAT-R (Peabody Individual Achievement Test - Revised)
7. Student(s) current immunization record and birth certificate have been placed on file in the school office.
